FINBACK WHALE
Fin whales are found in groups of 6 or 7 and possibly up to 12. These are very fast whales, sometimes called “the greyhounds of the sea”.
- Length : 69-82 feet
- Weight : 50 tons (metric)
- Colors : dark on dorsal fin white on ventral side More white on right side around the head
- Baleen : 350-400 on each side
Look carefully :
- Height of spume from blow-hole ;
- The shape of the dorsal fin ;
- While diving this whale will curve its back but will not show a fluke.
